What is matcha?
Matcha is finely ground green tea powder made from specially grown tea leaves. Unlike regular tea, the powder is whisked directly into water or milk, meaning you consume the entire leaf.
What's the difference between matcha and regular green tea?
With regular green tea, the leaves are steeped and then removed. With matcha, the whole leaf is consumed in powder form. This gives matcha a richer taste, vibrant green colour and a more concentrated tea experience
Does matcha contain caffeine?
Yes. Matcha naturally contains caffeine. Many people experience a smoother and longer-lasting energy compared to coffee.
Does matcha have health benefits?
Matcha naturally contains antioxidants and nutrients from the whole tea leaf. It is often enjoyed as a balanced alternative to coffee.
How long does matcha stay fresh?
For the best flavour we recommend using matcha within a few months after opening. Always store matcha sealed and away from heat, light and moisture.

What is flavoured matcha?
Flavoured matcha is matcha blended with natural flavour ingredients. At OOH MY MATCHA we combine premium matcha with 100% natural fruit powders to create balanced flavour profiles.
Why is flavoured matcha not that green?
Because our matcha has blended with 100% natural flavours or freeze-dried fruit powders.
Does flavoured matcha contain sugar?
No. Our flavoured matcha contains no added sugar. The flavour comes from natural freeze-dried fruit powders.
Does flavoured matcha still taste like matcha?
Yes. Matcha is always the base of our blends. The fruit flavour is designed to complement the matcha, not overpower it.
Do I need syrups or sweeteners?
No. Our flavoured matcha is designed to taste balanced on its own. You can still add milk or sweetener if you like, but it is not necessary.
What flavours do you offer?

Preparing Matcha
How do I prepare matcha?
Add 2 tablespoons of matcha to a cup. Add a small amount of hot water (around 100 ml) and whisk until smooth.
Can I make iced matcha?
Yes! Mix 2 teaspoon of matcha with a little warm water first so it dissolves well. Then pour it over ice and cold milk for a refreshing iced matcha latte.
Do I need a bamboo whisk?
A bamboo whisk works great, but it’s not required. You can also use a small milk frother, shaker bottle or even a spoon to mix your matcha smoothly.
How much matcha should I use per drink?
For most drinks, 1 teaspoon is perfect. If you like a stronger matcha flavour, you can use 2 teaspoons.
Can I mix matcha with milk?
Absolutely. Matcha works beautifully with milk. Try it with oat, almond, coconut or dairy milk to make a creamy matcha latte or iced one.
